Sportsmanship: Soccer Player Florian Trinks Gives Handball Goal Back. [Video]

From Inside World Socccer:

Greuther Fürth midfielder Florian Trinks showed a honourable display of sportsmanship on Sunday after admitting a goal he had scored against Sandhausen was a handball.

With the match still level at 1-1, Trinks put the ball in the back of the net with his hand.

As the Sandhausen players raged at the goal, the 21-year-old showed maturity and honesty in approaching the referee and coming clean about his handball infraction.

After his confession, the referee cancelled the goal but Trinks received his reward later in the game when he netted Fürth’s third goal in their 3-1 victory.”
